Lighting for Bali's Climate

Outdoor lighting in Bali takes a beating — tropical downpours, constant humidity and salt air near the coast destroy cheap fittings and unsealed connections within a season. For garden, path and pool lighting we use properly IP-rated weatherproof fittings, seal every connection, and route cable to keep junctions out of standing water. Indoors, we favour quality LED with the right driver so you are not back up a ladder replacing failed spots every few months.

How We Work — Step by Step

1. Plan. We walk the space with you and agree positions, zones, dimming and colour temperature.
2. Prepare. We route cable and set out the fittings, confirming the layout before cutting.
3. Install. Fittings, drivers and switches are installed and connected properly.
4. Test & adjust. We test every circuit and dimmer and fine-tune aiming before we leave.

Common Bali Lighting Jobs

Typical work includes a full villa downlight layout for a renovation, LED strip cove lighting in living areas, warm garden and pathway lighting, pool and water-feature lighting, and adding dimmer zones to an existing villa. We can do lighting as a standalone job or as part of a wider fit-out.

For rental villas we are often asked to create distinct "scenes" — bright task lighting in the kitchen, soft warm lighting around the pool and terrace for the evening, and low-level path lighting that stays on overnight for safety. We set this up with separate switching and dimmer zones so guests can get the right mood with one switch, and we choose warm 2700K–3000K LEDs outdoors so the villa photographs well at dusk. Getting the colour temperature and zoning right at installation is far cheaper than re-wiring switch lines later, which is why we always plan it up front.
