What We Do

Adding air conditioning, a water heater, a pool pump or an EV charger to a Bali property very often reveals the same problem: the existing PLN connection simply is not big enough. We advise on the right daya (VA) for your real load, prepare the electrical work on your side so the changeover passes, and assist you through the PLN application process. Done in the right order, the upgrade is straightforward; done blindly, PLN can reject it or you end up paying for capacity you do not actually need.

Common PLN Daya Levels in Bali

• 900 VA — lights, a TV, a fridge, fans. Cannot run AC.
• 1,300 VA — one small AC (0.5 PK) or a water heater. Tight.
• 2,200 VA — one AC plus a water heater and normal appliances. Good for a studio or small villa.
• 4,400 VA — two AC units, or one large unit, plus heavy appliances. A common villa request.
• 5,500 VA and above — larger villas, pool heat pumps, EV charging.

How We Work — Step by Step

1. Assess the load. We calculate what your appliances actually draw and recommend the right daya level.
2. Prepare your side. We confirm or upgrade the main MCB, incoming cable and earthing so the system can carry the new capacity.
3. Apply. We help submit the PLN daya upgrade request and pay the official fee.
4. Changeover. When PLN attends to swap the meter and MCB, your installation is ready and passes.

New Connections for New Builds

If you are building on land with no existing meter, the process is a new PLN connection rather than an upgrade. This involves applying for a new sambungan baru, having PLN run the service and install a prepaid (token) or postpaid meter, and connecting it to your distribution board. We prepare the incoming side — main MCB, earthing and meter board position — so the connection is ready the day PLN attends, and we advise on the right daya from the start so you do not have to upgrade again six months later.

Realistic Costs

The official PLN upgrade fee runs roughly IDR 300,000–1,500,000 depending on the increase. Our assistance and preparation work starts from IDR 500,000, and if your board cannot handle the new load a panel upgrade is IDR 1,500,000–2,500,000. Everything is quoted upfront. See full pricing →

Typical Time

Our preparation work is usually half a day. PLN's own changeover then takes anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks after the application, depending on the area.
